Bruno Fernandes’ goal gives Portugal victory over Slovakia in Euro 2024 qualifying

The Portugal national football team won an away victory over the Slovak team in a qualifying match for the 2024 European Championship.

The Group J meeting ended with a score of 1:0. The goal was scored by Bruno Fernandes in the 43rd minute.

In a parallel match, the Luxembourg team was stronger than Iceland at home – 3:1. The guests were able to respond to the goals of Maxime Chanot (8, from the penalty spot), Ivandro Borges (70) and Danel Sinani (90) only with a precise shot from Hakon-Arnar Haraldsson (88). In the 73rd minute, the Icelanders were left in the minority; ex-CSKA defender Herdur Magnusson received a second yellow card.

In another Group J match, Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Liechtenstein at home with a score of 2:1. The outcome of the match was decided by an own goal from Simon Luchenger (18). Edin Dzeko (3) also scored for the Bosnians, and Sandro Wolfinger (21) for the guests.
