Neymar surpasses Pele in goals for Brazil national team

Brazil striker Neymar overtook Pele to become the top scorer in the history of the national team.
On Saturday, the Brazilians defeated the Bolivians at home with a score of 5:1 in the match of the first round of the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in the CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation) zone. Neymar scored two goals, scoring in the 61st and 90+3 minutes. In the 17th minute, the forward missed a penalty.
Neymar brought his number of goals for Brazil to 79. Pele, who played for the Brazilian national team from 1957 to 1971, had a record of 77 goals.
