A fan of English football club Leeds has been sentenced to three months in prison for attacking Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe, the BBC reports.
David Derbyshire, 35, confronted the Magpies manager after running onto the Elland Road pitch during an English Premier League game in May. The incident was shown during a live broadcast.
He was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court to three months in prison after admitting entering the field “without justification” and “assaulting” Howe. He was also banned from football stadiums for six years.
