Former England footballer Ashley Cole has been banned from driving for six months
Former England footballer Ashley Cole has been banned from driving for six months, The Sun reports.
He was also fined £3,000 for road traffic offences.
The ex-footballer pleaded guilty to two charges of speeding and one count of failing to provide driver information.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea player did not attend the trial and his guilty plea was made through his lawyers.
The district judge said that “having regard to his financial means” it was appropriate that Cole pay the maximum fine of £1,000 for each offence.
Cole faced two additional charges of failure to provide driver information, but they were dismissed after the prosecution failed to formally present any evidence.
