Inter Miami players defeated Sporting Kansas City at home in a match of the regular season of the Major League Soccer (MLS).
The meeting ended with a score of 3:2. Among the winners, Leonardo Campagna scored a double. Facundo Farias also scored. Daniel Shalloi and Alan Pulido scored for the visitors.
Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi is with the Argentina national team and missed the meeting. On September 12, the Argentina national team will play Bolivia in the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament. In the first match, the Argentines defeated the Ecuadorian team with a score of 1:0, Messi scored a goal.
Inter Miami scored 28 points and is in penultimate, 14th place in the Eastern Conference standings, Sporting Kansas City with 32 points is in 12th place in the West.
