Zenit coach Tymoshchuk said that he will never work for Spartak
The coach of St. Petersburg Zenit Anatoly Timoshchuk said that he would never accept a job offer at Moscow Spartak.
— Two years ago you said that you would never go to work at Spartak. Now at Zenit there are Mario Fernandez and Wilson Isidore, who also said that they would not move to the opponent’s camp.
– You see that they didn’t come to us from Spartak (laughs). Although we have Bakaev, who came from there. I have my own position. I think these players have weighed the pros and cons. Everyone consults with their family. My position that I will never go to work for Spartak has not changed,” Tymoshchuk told RB Sport.
In the summer, defender Mario Fernandez, who played for CSKA for many years, moved to Zenit. The blue-white-blues also rented Lokomotiv forward Wilson Isidore until the end of the season.
Tymoshchuk is a former football player for the Ukrainian national team and Shakhtar Donetsk; he played for Zenit in 2007–2009 and 2013–2015. The Ukrainian specialist has been part of the coaching staff of the St. Petersburg club since 2017.
