Krylia Sovetov head coach Igor Osinkin believes that midfielder Benjamin Garre will continue to progress as part of the Samara team.
Garre was recognized as the best player in the WORLD RPL based on the results of July and August. The 23-year-old Argentine has three goals and two assists in five matches at the start of the season.
“The man who introduced himself as Garre’s agent said that Benjamin wanted to leave and was dissatisfied with his salary. What was it? Smoke without fire?
– Benjamin himself gave a refutation along with his father. And it’s not even clear who commented there. But I didn’t need to conduct any investigation. I see how he trains, how he works, how he treats his work. I really hope that he will remain a player on our team. What will happen in the winter depends on many factors, including the level of his game – whether he can maintain it or even progress. I hope that we will all only become better.
— Was there an offer from PAOK? It turns out that the club is changing a little and can no longer let go of its leaders?
– Yes, of course, we have such an opportunity, but not with all players. Almost everyone in Russia has some kind of buyout option. We had the opportunity to keep him. We believe that he can progress and be even more in demand. That’s why he’s with us today. I personally did not see PAOK’s interest, although I read, like about some other clubs, Metaratings.ru quotes Osinkin.
