The head coach of the Kazakhstan national team, Magomed Adiev, summed up the results of the European Championship qualifying round match with the Northern Ireland team.

The team from Kazakhstan won their home match on Sunday with a score of 1:0. The goal was scored in the 27th minute by Maxim Samorodov. In the next match of the qualifying round, the Kazakhstan team, led by Russian coach Magomed Adiev, will play away against Denmark on October 14.

— The match with Northern Ireland was very difficult, even difficult. When you compete in the European Championship selection, you can’t expect easy games. Initially we understood that it would be difficult. It is doubly pleasant that in this difficult game we won and won such important points for us. I can’t say whether I expected such a fierce fight in the group or not.

I have one approach, both in clubs and in the national team: there is the nearest game in which you must fight for three points. Then you go the same way to the next game. What comes out as a result and how much you gained – you already look at the fact. We are glad that four rounds before the end of the selection we remain among the contenders. But we understand that it will be very difficult to qualify for the finals,” Adiev told the Championship.

The Kazakhstan national team scored 12 points in Group H and after six matches is in fourth place, one point behind Denmark and Slovenia.
