Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitry Barinov spoke about the transfer of striker Wilson Isidore to Zenit, noting that the railway players will decide whether to take the Frenchman back or not if he returns to the Moscow club.

On Saturday, Zenit announced that it had reached an agreement with Lokomotiv to lease Izidor until the end of the 2023/24 season with an option to buy. Lokomotiv reported that the striker’s loan to Zenit is paid and provides for a mandatory right of repurchase.

— I knew that Izidor was preparing for a transfer, but I thought that everything would be agreed with the club, and not the way it all happened. But this is his decision – it means he wanted to leave like that. Will I take him back if he decides to come back? I think this will be a collective decision, not just mine. Izidor moved to Lokomotiv from Monaco in the winter of 2022. During this time, the footballer took part in 42 matches, in which he was able to score 19 goals and give seven assists.
