Camozzi: “Cherchesov is an experienced coach, but I doubt that his style will suit the current Spartak”
Franco Camozzi, ex-adviser to the former owner of Spartak Leonid Fedun, believes that the possible appointment of Stanislav Cherchesov to the post of head coach of the Moscow team will not bring success to the “red-whites”.
Spartak, under the leadership of Guillermo Abascal, scored 10 points and ranks ninth in the WORLD RPL standings.
— In my opinion, Cherchesov is not the best option for Spartak. However, like Abascal. There are many other specialists who would suit the “red and white” and make the team stronger. Cherchesov is an experienced coach, but I doubt that his style will suit the current Spartak,” Camozzi told RB Sport.
Cherchesov, who left the post of head coach of the Hungarian Ferencvaros in July, worked at Spartak from 2007 to 2008. Under his leadership, the team took second place in the Russian Championship.
