Dmitry Barinov: “For me, Lokomotiv is home. There is no better stadium in Russia than Cherkizovo”

Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitry Barinov said that for him there is no better stadium in Russia than the home arena of the railway workers.

27-year-old Barinov has been playing for the main team of Lokomotiv since 2015.

– Anton Miranchuk and I store valuables. We have already seen everything, we have won all the trophies in Russia. But sometimes you think about it and realize that we are 26–27 years old. But the responsibility is on us – and also on Gil (Gilherm), on Rifat (Zhemaletdinov). We try to convey to the guys that they are not in some average team, but in a top club where all the conditions are available. The main thing is that they understand this.

For me, Lokomotiv is home. For me, there is no better stadium in Russia than Cherkizovo. There is no better base than in Bakovka. This is what young children strive for. “I also strived – and made my dream come true,” “Championship” quotes Barinov as saying.

After seven matches, the railway workers are in sixth place in the Russian Championship standings with 12 points.
