Denis Boyarintsev believes that the continuity of generations has disappeared in Spartak
Former Spartak midfielder Denis Boyarintsev believes that the generation of Yegor Titov and Dmitry Alenichev is the last of those who were brought up in the traditions of the “red-white” club.
When he was a player, Boyarintsev played for Spartak from 2005 to 2007, as well as in 2009.
– If we discuss our Spartak, we were the last to see a generation of guys brought up in Spartak traditions – such as Titov, Alenichev. Without them, of course, we understood what kind of club it was. There was continuity between generations, but now it’s all blurred. Although the championship year was not bad, a core of Russian guys formed – Glushakov, Kombarov, Rebrov, on which meat grew.
But now there are a large number of foreign players, it is unlikely that they know the club’s history and traditions well. At the same time, it’s nice to see that guys from the academy, like Meleshin, are appearing. They are expected to grow and achieve success. Well, I would like it to be explained to all foreign players, not only at Spartak, the values of the clubs. So that they don’t just play for zeros in the contract,” Boyarintsev told the Championship.
After seven rounds, Spartak is in ninth place in the MIR RPL standings, gaining 10 points.
In the next round of the MIR RPL, Spartak will play with Sochi. The meeting will take place on Saturday in Moscow. Watch the live broadcast of the game starting at 18:55 on the MATCH PREMIER channel, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
