Head coach of the Russian national football team Valery Karpin should not have called up injured Spartak defender Ruslan Litvinov to the national team, head coach of the “red-whites” Guillermo Abascal said on Match TV.

On Saturday, Litvinov was not included in Spartak’s squad for the match of the 8th round of the MIR RPL with Sochi. The meeting takes place in Moscow, after the first half the score is 0:0.

— National team matches are a period when it is important that players do not get injured. Before being sent to the national team, Litvinov had an injury, which we knew and talked about, however, he played 90 minutes. In our opinion, this is not the solution that was needed. Therefore, Litvinov is not in the application,” Abaskal said on Match TV.

Watch the live broadcast of the Spartak – Sochi match starting at 18:55 on the MATCH PREMIER TV channel, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
