Former Anji, CSKA and Zenit footballer Predrag Randjelovic spoke about his period as a coach in Krasnodar in 2014–2015.

Earlier it was reported that the Dutch Ajax offered 8.5 million euros plus bonuses of two million for Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan. Also, the Dutch club was ready to include in the deal a clause on payment to Krasnodar 10% of the amount of the subsequent sale of 23-year-old Spertsyan. The footballer remained in the Russian club.

— You were the coach of the Krasnodar academy. What do you remember about this period?

— I worked there for about a year and a half. I managed to train Utkin, Shapi, Ignatiev, Spertsyan, Matsukatov, Safonov and Latyshonok, who is now at Baltika.

— How surprised are the guys to shoot like that?

— I always knew that Spertsyan would become a good player. It’s hard to say whether he needs to go to Europe or not, but I know that he had offers from there. Also from Holland? Yes,” Sport24 quotes Randjelovic as saying.
