The first goal was scored as a result of excellent interaction between several Monegasque players who took part in the attack. Wanderson found Yussuf Fofan with a pass, who was approaching the opponent’s penalty area. He sent the ball to Alexander Golovin in one touch. The Russian took the pass near the penalty mark, being surrounded by two opponents at once, and found an opportunity to shoot into the upper right corner of the goalkeeper.

In the second half, Alexander took on the role of an assistant. Monaco’s attack developed from the right flank. Golovin opened up in front of the penalty area, receiving the ball, did not try to beat the defender, but delegated the right of the decisive blow to his colleague, Folarin Balogun. The Englishman, accompanied by two Lorient players, ran to the edge of the goalkeeper’s area and, under pressure, decided to shoot from a tight angle. The goalkeeper, it would seem, had every chance to emerge victorious from the duel, but failed to do so.

“When is the promotion?”

The midfielder of the Russian national team, it should be noted, scores in the second League 1 game in a row. In the previous round, Golovin took part in the defeat of Lens, scoring the second goal from a pass from Japanese Takumi Minamino. Let us remind you that in the last very productive season for himself, the Russian scored his first goal in the championship only in the eighth round, but in the end he scored eight goals and seven assists. If Alexander does not slow down and avoids injuries, then there is a possibility that the current season for the 27-year-old football player will become even more successful.
