Former Lokomotiv striker Dmitry Bulykin admitted that he was ready to take part in the retro match between the railway workers and CSKA.

Earlier, the RFU informed Match TV about plans to carry out a reconstruction of the 2002 “golden match” in November.

– Am I ready to play? Well, let’s see where they invite us. I am always ready to run and play with veterans. Because the guys’ football thoughts and interaction are at such a high level that it’s a pleasure to play. The legs no longer run, the physics are no longer the same, but in their minds, football among the legends is very different from ordinary football,” Euro-Futbol.Ru quotes Bulykin.

Based on the results of 30 rounds in the 2002 season, CSKA and Lokomotiv scored 66 points in the Russian Championship, sharing first place in the standings. According to the regulations, a “golden match” was held, since other indicators of the teams’ performance were not taken into account at that time. In the meeting, which took place on November 21, 2002 in Moscow at the Dynamo stadium, the railway workers won – 1:0.
