Russian midfielder Zelimkhan Bakaev made his debut for Al-Wahda in the match of the third round of the UAE championship against Hatta.
The meeting in Abu Dhabi ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the hosts; Omar Khribin scored a goal in the 24th minute. The Russian came on as a substitute in the 65th minute instead of Facundo Kruspski.
In September, Bakaev moved to Al-Wahda from Zenit St. Petersburg on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season without the right to buy.
Last summer, Bakaev signed a contract with Zenit. As part of the “blue-white-blue” he played 34 matches, scored three goals, became the champion of Russia and a two-time winner of the country’s Super Cup. Previously, the 27-year-old midfielder played for Spartak Moscow and Arsenal Tula.
