The best football player of the USSR in 1991, Igor Kolyvanov, assessed the prospects of former Dynamo Moscow football player Arsen Zakharyan in the Spanish club Real Sociedad.
Zakharyan moved to Real Sociedad in the summer from Dynamo Moscow, signing a contract until the end of the 2028/29 season. The 20-year-old midfielder played three matches for the Spanish team, missing the last games due to coronavirus.
— I wouldn’t say that Arsen has shone in the last year. He got off to a very good start. Everyone hoped that he would open up even more. Many clubs considered him, and so he left for Spain. Zakharyan knows how to pass and score. But to become a big player, you need to constantly work on yourself and your mistakes.
The Spanish championship is not the same as in England or Italy. It is softer and more technical. Arsen ended up in a good and playing team. It is quite possible that in a couple of years he will make a loud statement and move to a top club,” the Championship quotes Kolyvanov.
