Krylia Sovetov forward Nikita Saltykov spoke about his attitude towards martial arts, recalling the match for the Russian youth team against the British.
– Do I seem fearless? Even as a child, I was never afraid to go into trouble. All my life, as long as I’ve been playing football, I’ve been like this: I didn’t put my feet away. I removed my leg only once in my life and remembered it very well. We played the Russian youth team against England. They had a healthy dark-skinned guy with whom we were walking towards a junction, I got scared and removed my leg. After that I remembered that I shouldn’t do that. Plus, working with Kaleshin has borne fruit,” Championship quotes 19-year-old Saltykov.
After nine rounds, the Samara club takes second place in the Russian Championship, gaining 18 points. Saltykov took part in eight MIR RPL matches, scored four goals and provided one assist.
Krylia Sovetov will play at home with Spartak in the 10th round of the RPL. The meeting will take place on October 1, watch the live broadcast from 16:25 (Moscow time) on the MATCH PREMIER channel, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
