Russian midfielder Alan Dzagoev, who signed a contract with the Greek Lamia, spoke about a possible return to CSKA.

The 33-year-old midfielder’s move to Lamia was announced on Thursday. As part of CSKA, the footballer won the Russian Championship three times and won the National Cup four times.

– I know that the fans wanted me to return to CSKA – but it doesn’t always happen the way we want. I’m sure we’ll see each other again, and more than once.

What did Fedotov say? Yes, he didn’t say anything, everything was in working order. At some point it seemed to me that I would stay, but in the end everything happened the way it was supposed to happen. CSKA has its own way in terms of how the club sees its players; they rely on youth. I have my own way. Everything is fine. Thank you so much for allowing me to train and get in shape, including to the coaching staff.

What is my motivation now? When everything is going well, there is always a great desire to train and play. And if we have successful results, then the desire to continue in the same spirit will become even greater. I want to prove, first of all to myself, that I am ready to play and bring results to the team. When my health is good, I feel energized during training and work with great dedication. It’s the same in games. I don’t know if this will ever go away—I surprise myself at times! I want to win, train, score, give assists,” the Championship quotes Dzagoev.
