“This is impossible”. Neymar criticized the pitch at the stadium in Iran, where Al-Hilal will play in the Asian Champions League

Al-Hilal striker Neymar took to social media to react to the condition of the turf at the Azadi Stadium in Iran, where the Saudi club will play the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League match.

Al-Hilal will play against Iranian club Nassaji Mazandaran on Tuesday in a group stage match of the tournament. The Brazilian responded to a video on social media X showing workers laying pieces of turf on the sand at an arena in Tehran.

“It’s impossible,” Neymar said in a comment, which also added a laughing-to-tears emoji.

31-year-old Neymar played four matches for Al-Hilal in all competitions and provided three assists. The Brazilian forward moved to the Saudi team from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
