Camozzi believes that in the situation with Abascal, it was initially clear that the coach did not correspond to the level of the club
Franco Camozzi, a former assistant to the previous head of Spartak Leonid Fedun, said that Spaniard Guillermo Abascal does not have the necessary experience to work in a team of this level.
On Sunday, Spartak lost to Krylia Sovetov in Samara with a score of 0:4, the meeting was held as part of the 10th round of the WORLD RPL. After this failure, Muscovites occupy fifth place in the table, gaining 16 points.
— Initially, it was clear that such a coach was not capable of coaching a big club. Abascal’s time at Spartak must end. The team’s results and performance this season show that he does not have the necessary experience to work in such a team,” RB Sport quotes Camozzi as saying.
Abascal replaced the Italian Paolo Vanoli in Spartak in June 2022. The Spaniard’s previous club was the Swiss Basel, where he served as head coach after the resignation of Patrick Rahmen.
