Rostov head coach Valery Karpin appreciated the assignment of a penalty against the Rostov team in the Russian Cup match with Lokomotiv.

Lokomotiv head coach Mikhail Galaktionov admitted that there is no euphoria within the team after a series of successful matches.

— We are in good functional condition, but there is no euphoria. A tough season in which everyone can beat everyone. We continue to work. We will recover and systematically prepare for the Ural.

— How do you prepare your team for the game?

— We give certain tasks, motivate, although the level is already high, and practice the principles of the game. Stability may sag, but there is something to work on. We are obliged to maintain the level that we set with the victory over Zenit.

After this game, Lokomotiv topped the standings of Group B of the RPL FONBET Russian Cup with 10 points. “Ural” and “Rostov”, having 8 points each, take 2nd and 3rd places.
