Spain’s squad for the October matches announced

Head coach of the Spanish national team Luis de la Fonte announced the list of players who will participate in the October games.

Goalkeepers: Unai Simon (“Athletic”) Kepa Arrizabalaga (“Real”), Davide Raya (“Arsenal”).

Defenders: Daniele Carvajal (“Real”), David Garcia (“Osasuna”) Alessandro Balde (“Barcelona”), Paolo Torres (“Aston Villa”) Robin LeNorman (“Real Sociedad”) Aymeric Laporte (“Al-Nasr”), Francesco Garcia (“Real”).

Midfielders: Rhodri (“Manchester City”), Mikel Merino (“Real Sociedad”) Gavi (“Barcelona”), Martin Subimendi (“Real Sociedad”) Fabiano Ruiz (PSG), The sunset of Oyan (“Athletic”).

Attackers: Álvaro Morata (“Athletic”) Nicola Williams (“Athletic”) Joselu (“Real”), Lamin Yamal (“Barcelona”), Ferran Torres (“Barcelona”), Jeremy Pinault (“Villarreal”) Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad).

On October 12th the Spaniards will play the Scots and on October 15th the Norwegians.

The list of players for the German national team was previously announced.

Around 17,000 fans have returned their tickets for the 2026 World Cup due to US policy

Nearly 17,000 fans have refused tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a call for a boycott, according to the Jordanian portal Roya News.

According to the source, the massive refusal of tickets and subsequent calls to boycott the tournament on social networks forced the International Football Federation (FIFA) to schedule an emergency meeting next week to discuss the growing protests and calls for a boycott of the world championship related to political and security issues.

Additionally, calls for a World Cup boycott have affected hotel bookings in cities hosting tournament matches and led to a decrease in ticket resale prices.

The 2026 World Cup will be held in USAMexico and Canada from June 11th to July 19th. For the first time, 48 teams will take part.
