“If there is no connection between the coach and the players, then a decision must be made” – Shavlo about Abaskal

Former general director of Spartak Sergei Shavlo expressed the opinion that the management of the Moscow team should think about changing the head coach.

In the next round of the Russian Championship, Spartak will play against CSKA. The meeting of the teams as part of the 11th round of the MIR RPL will take place on October 8 at the Red-White stadium and will begin at 19:00 (Moscow time). Watch the live broadcast of the game on the Match TV channel, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru on Sunday from 18:00 (Moscow time).

— Do you have a feeling that the next match with CSKA will be fateful for Abascal?

— The decision is made by the club management. Of course, it’s difficult when you lose so much. Fans are already starting to criticize the coach. We need to see if everything really depends on the players here and they don’t want to – then we need to ask them. And if there is no connection between the coach and the players, then a decision must be made.

— Do you have a feeling that the players don’t want to, based on the last two matches?

– Eat. Somewhere they are underperforming, somewhere they make mistakes, which is not typical for them, because the guys are qualified and just recently showed a very good game. But this was not visible in the last matches. Yes, they tried, but against Krylia Sovetov the second half was simply a failure, for everyone. Replaced Quincy, who can demand, but there is no other. One of the hockey experts spoke correctly. Until there is a Russian base in the team from whom you can ask, it will be difficult,” Euro-Futbol.Ru quotes Shavlo as saying.

Anatoly TRUBIN: “Rebrov decided to sacrifice him”

Goalkeeper of the Ukrainian national team Anatoly Trubin I remembered the match against France (0:4) when Sergei Rebrov released the semi-reserve squad.

“It was the coach’s choice. It is always the coach who decides whether the match will be sacrificed or not. If we talk about the challenge itself, we all understand the strength of France. I understood that there could be a lot of shots, there could be a lot of chances, and I was ready for it. When the opponent is always with the ball, constantly attacking, you are always in the game: you play in sections, you react, you constantly feel the rhythm.

For me personally, it’s even easier than when your team is attacking most of the time and you’re standing idle and suddenly there’s a moment where you have to be ready,” Trubin said.
