Three-time Estonian futsal champion Viimsi Smsraha fired Serbian coach Vladimir Jovanovic because of congratulations addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin on a social network.
On Saturday, October 7, the specialist published a message in which he congratulated Putin on his 71st birthday.
– Live long, namesake! Serbs and Russians are brothers forever! – he wrote.
After this, the management of Viimsi Smsraha decided to stop collaborating with Jovanovic.
— The contract with our coach Vladimir Jovanovic has been completed by agreement of the parties. We cannot afford for the team’s head coach to behave like this,” club head Andrei Golovin told ERR.ee.
Jovanovic took charge of Viimsi last December, signing an 18-month contract.
