Medina’s father: “Jesus is at Spartak today and proves that everything was not in vain”
Francisco Medina, the father of Spartak midfielder Jesus Medina, commented on his son’s goal in the WORLD RPL match against his former team, CSKA.
Sunday’s match of the 11th round of the MIR RPL at the Spartak stadium ended with a score of 2:2. Quincy Promes and Jesus Medina scored goals for the red-whites, equalizing the score in second-half stoppage time. Defender Milan Gajic scored a double for CSKA.
– This is a truly exciting adventure: to score such an important goal in the 97th minute, and even against the former team, incredible emotions for everyone. But this is football, Jesus is a real professional. Today he is at Spartak and proves that everything was not in vain. I hope this is just the beginning,” Euro-Futbol.Ru quotes Francisco Medina as saying.
Medina moved to Spartak last summer from CSKA, with whom he previously played 35 matches in the RPL.
