Former coach of the Russian national football team Alexander Tarkhanov assessed the current level of the national team.

On Thursday, the Russian team in Moscow beat the Cameroon team in a friendly match – 1:0. On Monday, October 16, in Turkey, Valery Karpin’s team will play with the Kenyans.

— It’s correct that players no older than thirty years old are called up to the national team. This team is built for the future. Already now they are able to show a good level. Would we be able to qualify for the Euros? I think the current team would be able to do this. Taking second place in the group is a real task according to the current selection criteria,” RB Sport quotes Tarkhanov as saying.
