Karpin said that he would leave Rostov if the Russian national team returned to the international arena
The head coach of Rostov and the Russian national football team, Valery Karpin, said that he would leave the Rostov club if the national team was returned to international tournaments.
— Mostovoy’s words about my combination? I laugh. What kind of logic is there? He says it’s not there anywhere? Is the national team banned somewhere? When the national team was not banned, I coached in the national team. If we are returned tomorrow, I will leave Rostov. There is an agreement,” Karpin said at a press conference, his words quoted by the Championship.
The specialist has been leading the national team since July 2021. Currently, the Russian national team is suspended from participation in tournaments under the auspices of UEFA and FIFA due to the situation in Ukraine.
On Monday, October 16, the Russian team in Turkey will play a friendly match with Kenya. Watch the live broadcast from 18:40 (Moscow time) on the Match TV channel, websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
