“It’s time for Karpin to decide on the starting lineup for the Russian national team” – Demenko
Former Krasnodar football player Maxim Demenko believes that the head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin should stop experimenting with the starting lineup of the national team.
Last week the Russian national team beat the Cameroonians (1:0) in a friendly match in Moscow, and on Monday Valery Karpin’s team played a draw with the Kenyans (2:2) in Antalya.
— I can’t understand why different main squads are always released for national team matches. Why these experiments? Karpin needs to decide on the basis and play it. We recently beat the Cameroon national team and it seemed that the guys began to feel the game, but other people are coming out for the match with the Kenyans. Why and why is this being done? The whole country is watching this.
We need to stop these experiments and decide on the starting lineup, as the coaches of all other national teams in the world do. Or let the national team’s coaching staff announce that we have two teams in the form of a base and a double, and warn in advance before the games which of them will take the field,” RB Sport quotes Demenko as saying.
