The Argentina national team defeated Peru in the 4th round of the qualifying stage of the 2026 World Cup.
The meeting took place in Lima and ended in a victory for the guests with a score of 2:0. Lionel Messi scored a double for the Argentines, scoring both goals in the first half.
The Argentines lead the table with 12 points, while Peru suffered its third defeat in four games.
In another match, the Brazilian team lost to Uruguay with a score of 0:2. Darwin Nunez and Nicolas De la Cruz scored goals for the Uruguayans.
