Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli reacted to his disqualification for sports betting.
On Tuesday, the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) said the 22-year-old midfielder had been banned from matches for seven months for violating a rule that prohibits betting on football events organized by the FIGC, FIFA and UEFA. The footballer was also fined 12.5 thousand euros.
“I was planning to apologize to Juventus fans and all football fans around the world… But I am shocked by the fake news in the media with fake details that want to make me look bad. “I will clarify everything soon,” Fagioli wrote on social networks.
Fagioli played 6 matches for the Turin team in the Italian Championship this season and scored one assist.
