Former CSKA and Spartak footballer Valery Masalitin believes that the Spanish Championship is most suitable for Russian players, since they prefer combination football.
— It seems to me that the Spanish league is the most suitable and closest for Russian football players. There is combination football. Let’s call it Spartak: a lot of walls, runs. They love to create on the field. Running around and pushing – this is not about the Spanish championship. There is more sophisticated football there, which the audience likes.
