Manchester City Football Club has condemned the behavior of fans who chanted insults towards ex-Manchester United player Bobby Charlton.
The 1966 Ballon d’Or winner died on October 21 at the age of 86.
During the break of the match with Brighton (2:1) in the 9th round of the Premier League, a group of Manchester City fans chanted offensive chants about Charlton.
“The club condemns these chants in the strongest possible terms and apologizes to Sir Bobby’s family and friends, as well as everyone at Manchester United.”
