Bayer beat Freiburg and returned to first place in the German championship

Bayer Leverkusen beat Freiburg in the home match of the ninth round of the German football championship.
The meeting ended with a score of 2:1. Florian Wirtz and Jonas Hofmann scored for the winners, while Manuel Gulde scored for the visitors.
Bayer scored 25 points and moved up to first place in the standings, Freiburg (13) is eighth.
In the next round, Bayer will visit Hoffenheim, and Freiburg will host Borussia Monchengladbach. Both meetings will take place on November 4.
