The Fakel management expects that specialists will prepare the field in Voronezh for the home game of the 15th round of the Russian championship with CSKA; the reserve stadium in case of poor condition of the lawn is the RZD Arena in Moscow. The general director of Fakel, Roman Askhabadze, spoke about this.

On Saturday, Fakel beat Spartak at home in the match of the 13th round of the WORLD RPL with a score of 2:0. After the game, the players and coach of the “red-whites” criticized the quality of the field at the stadium in Voronezh. It was previously announced that on November 1, the RPL commission would go to Voronezh to check the condition of the lawn.

– Our field is not new, we know, we talked about it. We, like all services involved in organizing the match, try to be extremely professional. We had abnormal weather. This is not a field that we have in this form on a daily basis. We played other matches, we all saw it.

Week-long rains, two days before that 10-12 cm of snow fell, it fell for 24 hours. We did our best. Not a single field, even in a new stadium, could cope with such weather. This is not my first day in football. It was very difficult. It was viscous, broken somewhere. We ourselves do not train on this lawn; we even conduct pre-game training at the base. We also couldn’t practice on the training pitch for two days, we worked on an artificial field, and before that we worked out in the gym.

The field, I hope, will be prepared, I’m almost sure of it. Of course, the commission will decide; her arrival was planned before the game with Spartak. It’s November 1st. The main thing is to “dry” it; there was a lot of water. There has been no rain today. It’s good that there was a strong wind, something was blown away. Today the field was already dry, not sticky. Long pause, the specialists know their stuff. In difficult conditions, but I hope that we will play at home on November 11 after traveling.

— Is the alternate arena “Rotor”?

— No, because it does not meet all the standards of the first category and the access control system. The reserve stadium is the Lokomotiv arena in Moscow. We hope that we will be able to play in Voronezh. We take care of this field, understanding all the specifics and complexity. “We are in the same conditions as any opponent,” Askhabadze said on the air of the “After Football with Georgy Cherdantsev” program on Match TV.

In the 14th round, Sergei Tashuev’s team will play away against Akhmat on November 4. The home match of the 15th round with CSKA is scheduled for November 11.
