“Rostov” defeated “Ural” at home in the match of the 6th round of the RPL Path of the Russian Cup. The meeting took place at the Rostov Arena and ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the hosts.
Viktor Melekhin (45) and Nikolai Komlichenko (67) scored goals for Rostov. Guilherme Shetine (50) scored the goal for the visitors. From the 84th minute, the guests played with a numerical minority after defender Yegor Filipenko was sent off.
The Rostov team played without head coach Valery Karpin, who missed the match due to disqualification. His duties on the bench were performed by Viktor Onopko.
Rostov finished in second place in Group B with 11 points and will continue to fight in the playoffs of the RPL Path. “Ural” took third place with 8 points and will play in the playoffs of the Path of Regions.
