FourFourTwo published a ranking of the best football players in the history of the World Championships; Golden Ball winner, goalkeeper of the USSR national team and Dynamo Moscow Lev Yashin took 16th place in the ranking.
Yashin was ahead of Bobby Moore, Paolo Rossi, Gerd Müller, Xavi, Rivaldo, Michel Platini, Cafu, Lothar Matthäus, Ferenc Puskás, Thomas Müller, Jurgen Klinsmann, Gary Lineker and other players.
