“Krylya Sovetov” can beat “Krasnodar” in the RPL away match, says Anton Bober

Former Krylia Sovetov midfielder Anton Bober, now the coach of the Akron-Konoplyov Academy, shared his expectations for the Volga team’s upcoming match with Krasnodar in the 13th round of the MIR Russian Premier League (RPL).

— It’s difficult to predict. I don’t think that “Wings” will open up right away, they will initially play as number two, because they are playing away and formally “Krasnodar” is the leader. But I think this plays into Krylia’s hands.

— Will both teams try to play defensively?

— Krasnodar is playing at home and will act from a position of strength. At this stage they are the leaders of the championship and play at home in front of their fans.

— Will we see many goals in this meeting?

– I think there will be goals. I can’t predict how much. Depending on how the match develops: if Krasnodar scores first and the Wings have to open up, then we will see a lot of goals.

— What could help “Wings” win this meeting?

“If each player plays at his own level and fully follows the coach’s instructions, the chances are good,” Metaratings.ru quotes the ex-Krylia player.

After 13 played rounds of the RPL 2023/2024 season, the “bulls” under the leadership of Vladimir Ivich have 28 points and are in the lead in the championship standings. Igor Osinkin’s Volzhan team is in third position with 24 points.
