“There was not even a thought to fire Gancharenko, we are happy with everything” – Ural President Ivanov
Ural President Grigory Ivanov said that he is satisfied with Viktor Gancharenko’s work as head coach of the club, and he is not even thinking about his resignation.
On Monday, Ural lost to Rubin (0:1) in the home match of the 14th round of the MIR RPL, extending the winless streak to 9 games. The Ekaterinburg team is in 12th place in the standings with 16 points.
– The team has no results, nine matches without a win in the RPL – nothing good. But we are happy with the game against Rubin, because Ural played well. We were satisfied with everything except the result.
The coach is always responsible for the result, but we didn’t even think that Gancharenko would leave us or we would fire him. We are satisfied. Viktor Mikhailovich is one of the best coaches in Russia, we are very lucky that he works at Ural. He’s not going to leave us anywhere, but we’re not going to tell him anything either,” the Championship quotes Ivanov.
