Hundreds of Antwerp fans provoked riots in the center of Porto

More than 300 fans of the Belgian Antwerp rioted on Monday evening in the center of Porto, Porto Canal reports.
According to eyewitnesses, fans overturned tables and chairs in some bars in one of the city squares. Fans also threw fireworks at residential buildings.
By order of the police, a “security perimeter” was established, and most cafes and restaurants closed earlier than expected.
In the first match between Antwerp and FC Porto, Belgian fans invaded the central stand of the stadium and attacked fans of the Portuguese team, to which law enforcement officers were forced to respond by using a water cannon.
The Champions League group stage match between Porto and Antwerp is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7, starting at 22:55 Moscow time.
