Former director of the Lokomotiv Moscow academy Vladimir Kuzmichev expressed the opinion that the Italian Atalanta will not let midfielder Alexei Miranchuk go on loan to Lokomotiv Moscow during the winter transfer window.
The Russian’s contract with the Italian club is valid until June 30, 2025. On Wednesday, RB Sport reported that Lokomotiv plans to rent Miranchuk in the winter transfer window, but the midfielder himself wants to stay in Europe.
— How do I assess the likelihood that Lokomotiv will rent Alexei Miranchuk in the winter? The probability will not be high. Alexey’s contract is ending, most likely, Atalanta will not let him go on loan, they will want to get some money for him. It is also unlikely from the point of view that Alexey wants to continue his career in Europe. It is clear that this season started poorly, but he spent last season at Torino at a good level. I think the proposals [из Европы] there will be,” Legalbet quotes Kuzmichev.
This season, Miranchuk played four incomplete matches for Atalanta in all tournaments, spent 101 minutes on the field and was not effective.
Miranchuk moved to Atalanta from Lokomotiv in September 2020.
