The strange death of a Russian football player. Missed the bar and drowned in clothes

Less than a month ago, Alexey celebrated his 30th birthday. The deceased left behind a small daughter.

A Russian football player was found dead on a beach in Sochi. The details of his death are shrouded in mystery. The young guy passed away in the prime of his life, and it is still unclear what happened to him.

People are at a loss as to why Alexey died?

Was wearing clothes

On the morning of November 7, reports appeared on social networks and the media of the Krasnodar Territory that the body of a man was found on the Chaika beach in Adler. He was discovered by passersby who called an ambulance and the police. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found no signs of violent death in the deceased.

At the same time, questions arose almost immediately. Doctors determined that the man had drowned, however, as regional media noted, he was dressed and did not intend to swim. Later, the police found out the identity of the drowned man. It turned out to be Alexey Lesin, a football player from Chuvashia who came to the tournament in Sochi.

Where did the backpack go?

It is preliminary known that Alexey, shortly before his death, was walking with his team in Adler. The athletes entered the bar, but Lesin was not allowed in – he was wearing shorts, which did not comply with the dress code of the establishment. Alexey decided to have a bite to eat elsewhere, and then went for a walk along the seashore. What happened next is unknown, but a few hours later the man was found dead.

The father of the deceased football player, Sergei Lesin, told reporters that his son had a backpack with things and documents. They were not there, and where they went is a mystery. Lesin Sr. also added that Alexey did not experience any health problems.

There is a version that the football player stumbled and fell into the sea, where he was sucked into a whirlpool. The criminal nature of the death is also considered, despite the absence of visible injuries. Investigators are now looking into the case.

Coach and young father

Alexey Lesin was born and raised in Cheboksary. The guy played football since childhood, but never built a professional career, limiting himself to performing at the amateur level. Alexey’s track record included Cheboksary “Wings”, “Dynamo”, “Chuvashia” and “Cheboksary”, as well as “Khimik-August” from the village of Vurnary. Lesin played at the level of the Volga zone of the third division until 2019.

The main activity of the deceased was coaching – he worked with his father in one of the Cheboksary schools. Alexey also played football and futsal at the regional level, and often went to tournaments in Kazan, where he was considered one of the brightest players.

In Sochi, Alexey went to the Russian 8×8 football championship as part of “Delina” from Izhevsk. His team advanced from the group to the playoffs, but lost in the 1/32 finals to the “Department of Mechanized Works” from Elista. Just a few days before his death, Lesin commented on the tournament layouts for the Delina press service.

It is known that Alexey was married and raised a three-year-old daughter. Last month, on October 11, the footballer celebrated his 30th birthday.

Lesin’s funeral will take place on November 12 in his native Cheboksary. While relatives mourn the loss, law enforcement officers will have to find out what caused the young man’s death. Now there are more questions in this matter than answers.

The RFU hopes FIFA will listen to the IOC’s position on youth teams

Russian Football Federation (RFU) hopes that the International Football Federation (FIFA) will follow the recommendation of the International Olympic Committee (THAT IS) subject to the admission of youth teams. The Secretary General spoke about it in an interview RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.

In December THAT IS recommended removing all restrictions for young Russian athletes and allowing them to participate in all competitions with the anthem and flag.

“This recommendation has become an important event for all Russian sports. We see that in many sports international federations are making decisions on the admission of our athletes,” Mitrofanov said. “And there are more and more such decisions.” Recommendation THAT IS plays an important role in this process. Let’s proceed from the fact that FIFA this recommendation will be heeded.”

“At the same time, it is important to understand that the popularity and attention, including at the state and political level, towards different sports in Europe are different. The large international basketball, hockey and football federations are more careful in analyzing the decisions they make. They probably already realized that they have overdone it in 2022. Now it is even more difficult for them to get out of this situation, also because they are afraid of facing the position of a large number of countries which, at the state level, will hinder the implementation decisions about our return,” Mitrofanov added.

Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from international tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.

Mitrofanov positively assessed Dzyuba’s invitation to the Russian national team in 2025

Invitation from the Togliatti Akron striker Artem Dziuba joining the Russian national football team was a positive event. This opinion was expressed in an interview by the general secretary of the Russian Football Federation (RFU) Maxim Mitrofanov.

In March Dzyuba scored against the Grenada team (5:0) and passed Alexandra Kerzakova in terms of goals for the Russian national team, he scored 31 goals.

“I rate it positively [приглашение Дзюбы в сборную]. I think it was a good decision by our coach [Валерия Карпина]Mitrofanov said. “The footballer deserves this opportunity. I am quite relaxed in counting records, but for the players and fans this plays a role. It is also important that the coach allowed the player to prove himself, showing that he had no conflict with Artem.”

“He is a good guy and a good footballer and he took the story very positively. He managed to score, it was clear from Artem’s emotions that he really wanted it,” Mitrofanov added.

In December Kerzhakov announced on his Telegram channel that he had sent a request to the International Football Federation (FIFA) about the authorship of the second goal of the Russian team in the friendly match against the German team on June 8, 2005 (2:2). If RFU admits that the goal was not scored Andrei Arshavinand Kerzhakov, then he will again share first place with Dzyuba.
