Krylya Sovetov midfielder Roman Yezhov spoke about a clash with Ural footballer Yuri Gazinsky in the 15th round match of the MIR Russian Premier League (RPL).

The meeting on Saturday took place in Samara and ended with a score of 3:1. In stoppage time for the second half, Gazinsky was sent off from the field for hitting Yezhov in the face.

— The match had a great start, but then the swings began. How can you explain this?

– Everyone needed a victory. As expected, it was a tough game. “Ural” needs points, we also haven’t won for a long time. It was an equal game, it was a battle. And we finally won.

— We could have ended the game in the middle of the first half. But they didn’t do it. What’s the matter?

— Of course, in implementation. We failed to score our own chances. If it worked, the game would be much simpler. This is football – not everyone scores every time, unfortunately.

— What can you say about the episode with Gazinsky at the end?

– Nothing special. He said some words to me, then I told him. This is football, emotions. My legs were cramping and he incorrectly asked me to get up.

— Do you regret that you couldn’t score yourself?

– Yes, actually I was upset. At the end [в моменте с голом Писарского] I had to score myself. But I was already full, it was very difficult, I barely made it.

– How do you feel? Do you have enough energy for the whole match?

– It’s clear that it’s already difficult – there are a lot of matches. But overall, it seems to be more or less enough.

— Were there any fears that some crazy goal from Ural might land in the end?

– Anything could have happened. But I think we showed a good game today, we had a lot of chances. Pomazun played a great match. It was hard, yes. But we scored our goals and finally won,” Metaratings.ru quotes Yezhov.
