CSKA nominated for the annual award of UEFA Grassroots Awards 2023/24, which celebrates the most outstanding achievements of grassroots football in Europe, recognizing the hard work of fans, clubs and associations in developing the game at local level.
Total RFU announced the 5 best winning projects of the third season of the “Russia is a Football Country” competition. CSKA was named the best professional club in the field of grassroots football development.
Also among the nominees were “Metallurg”, Chelyabinsk Region (best amateur football team), “Football is my life”, Krasnoyarsk Territory (best project for people with disabilities), “Nadezhda”, Republic of Adygea (best educational project), “Football Moms”, St. Petersburg (best project aimed at increasing the number of people involved in grassroots football).
Results will be announced in spring 2024.
