Orenburg’s Argentine midfielder Lucas Vera admitted that if he left the club, he would like to remain in the MIR Russian Premier League (RPL).

Earlier, journalist Ivan Karpov reported that Orenburg and Lokomotiv are close to an agreement on the transfer of 26-year-old Vera for about three million euros, and a personal contract with the Argentine until the end of the 2026/27 season has already been agreed upon. Match TV also reported that various clubs are showing interest in Vera, including in Spain and Saudi Arabia.

— I heard about conversations about Lokomotiv, I heard about Saudi Arabia, but all these discussions take place between clubs. Are you ready to take the next step? It’s always good when there is development, but now I’m thinking about how I can help the club to get out of the situation we find ourselves in. Can I leave? Maybe, but it all depends on the wishes of Orenburg. Saudi Arabia or Russia? I spoke with my agent, I would like to continue in Russia, but it all depends on the clubs,” Metaratings.ru quotes Vera.

Vera has been playing for Orenburg since July 2022. As part of the Russian team, the footballer played 45 matches, in which he scored 3 goals and made 9 assists.
