Rostov defender Evgeny Chernov said that at the beginning of the season the team missed a lot of goals due to bad luck.

— What is the reason for the large number of missed goals? Bad start to the season. Everything possible flew into our goal: from sharp angles, from different positions. Last season we were a little lucky: we didn’t score any obvious goals, but we managed to get everything out of the way.

Now this is the balance – everything went wrong for us at the beginning of the season. This was in the beginning. But then, thanks to work, professional attitude and efforts, we managed to change the situation. I think we can do it.

Any ordinary goal is a consequence of some mistakes, poor defensive play. Of course, if a team concedes a lot, then we must admit: we played poorly defensively at the beginning of the season. But then, thank God, we managed to stabilize the situation. We work to become better,” Chernov is quoted as saying by “Championship.”
