Lukaku’s poker helped Belgium defeat Azerbaijan in Euro 2024 qualifying match

The Belgium national football team defeated Azerbaijan in the final match of the qualifying round for the 2024 European Championship.
The Group F meeting took place in Brussels and ended with a score of 5:0. Romelu Lukaku scored four goals for the Belgians, and Leandro Trossard scored another goal. The players of the Azerbaijani team were forced to spend most of the match in the minority; in the 24th minute Eddie Israfilov received a second yellow card.
In a parallel match, Sweden defeated Estonia at home – 2:0. For the Swedes, ex-Krasnodar footballer Viktor Klasson and Emil Forsberg distinguished themselves.
Belgium scored 20 points and became the winner of Group F; the team, together with Austria (19), received a direct ticket to Euro 2024. Sweden finished third with 10 points, Azerbaijan (7) came fourth. Also participating in the group was the Estonian national team (1).
