Kvaratskhelia’s goal did not save the Georgian national team from defeat in the away Euro 2024 qualifying match against Spain

The Georgian national team lost to the Spanish team on the road in the match of the 10th round of the qualifying stage of the 2024 European Championship.

The Group A meeting ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the Spaniards. Robin Le Normand and Ferran Torres scored for the winners. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored for the Georgian team. Another ball ended up in the net of the Georgian team after an own goal by Luka Lochoshvili.

In another match of the quartet, the Scottish national team played a draw with the Norwegian team at home – 3:3. The Spaniards and Scots advanced from this group to Euro 2024, scoring 21 and 17 points, respectively.

In Group J, the Portugal team beat Iceland at home – 2:0. The goals were scored by Bruno Fernandes and Ricardo Horta, with Cristiano Ronaldo providing an assist.
