Former midfielder CSKA and the Russian national team Alan Dzagoev explained why he decided to end his career.
I came to Greece, played two matches [за «Ламию»], then during training I injured the back of my right leg. Nothing serious: I recovered calmly for two weeks, no one pushed me anywhere. They gave me all the time I needed. But during the last training session before joining the general group, I strained my left calf. At this point I had already decided that enough was enough. I have had almost no injuries in recent seasons thanks to the preparation I have put in on the pitch. I could live with a little muscle damage every couple of months. But now it is becoming difficult both mentally and physically.
